Guest guest
Jeanine, Thanks for this link. I checked it out and found it very interesting. I had seen an ENT and had extensive tests done. His comment was that there might be a pinhole opening that at times allows some fluid to leak out, but is also able to close itself. The tests did show I never had any ear infections and everything looked good. They did mention about releaving the pressure with a spinal tap, I had 2 of those done and that was when my headpain disappeared each time for 3 days, thinking back now that is also when the fluid stopped leaking. Ya think there may be a connection! (SMIRK) The article did mention high glucose level in spinal fluid, which I did have along with high protein. As KC had mentioned any higher they would consider meningitis. What many (doctors) may fail to consider is that there is a Fungal Meningitis, they pretty much look at bacterial. Hmmmm, I wonder??? (grin) Thanks again, Sharon > > <http://www.emedicine.com/ent/topic242.htm> > > ear discharge(otorrhea) also known as swimmers ear > <http://www.brooksidepress.org/Products/Operational% > 20Medicine/DATA/operationalmed/Sick%20Call/Ear%20Discharge%20 > (Otorrhea).htm> >
Guest guest
SC, your welcome and exactly my thoughts. Glad theres info. in my medical records of what I was going through, can you believe that my doctor just gave me free samples of ear drops and sent me on my way? I actually set in his office with spinal fluid still leaking from my ears, no signs of ear infections. and back infections for years! duhhh! someone needs to either go back to school or pay a little more attention to his patients, or both! > > > > <http://www.emedicine.com/ent/topic242.htm> > > > > ear discharge(otorrhea) also known as swimmers ear > > <http://www.brooksidepress.org/Products/Operational% > > 20Medicine/DATA/operationalmed/Sick%20Call/Ear%20Discharge%20 > > (Otorrhea).htm> > > >

Guest guest
I had recurrent discharges coming out of my ears for years, and there was definitely a fluid buildup behind my eyes as well.. Is that the part of the body they are talking about? I had weird dark patches which would suddenly fill with dark blood and clear fluid on my face, ears, and also near the place where my chest meets my collarbone. I thought that they might be related to my GERD, which was very bad at that time.. I had all sorts of things happening but usually I would make an appointment to see my doctor but by the time they saw me they would always be gone.. they came and went.. My ears are still covered with scars from when they would suddenly swell up with fluid and the blisters would then pop.. sometimes without even being touched..
