Guest guest
It is a last ditch effort by the Republicans on their way out the door to pacify big pharma. This proposal has been talked about for years. More like, their are herbals, albeit usually synthetic, in prescription drugs. Ex, digitalis is foxglove. Hawthorne is used in Europe for the same purpose. Perhaps they should establish a system to ensure that herbs are pure. barb1283 <barb1283@...> wrote: LOL...it -IS- scary to think there might be <<PRESCRIPTION DRUGS>> in these natural preparations!!!!! ....AND, " a million and a half suffering 'adverse reactions to vitamins and supplements since 1983'. Guest guest
Jane, I am a Democrat all the way but UNFORTUNATELY the Dems are not as far behind the Republicans as you would hope when it comes to whoring theselves out. The real crime is the way we 'finance' elections. And we should never have given corporations all the rights of people. (That decision isn't even clearly what the Supreme Court did - but its been interpreted that way! With no debate!) They are not people and free speech laws should not be interpreted as applying to them. But most free speech decisions have been for corporations and 'corporate free speech'. Why don't we just sell votes to the highest bidder while we are at it NOT. They are doing that in Hong Kong..corporations get votes, just like people do.. and they count more! They can't die, they can't be put in prison for crimes.. they are not real flesh and blood citizens, they don't often belong just to any single country, and especially - they are not accountable.. THEY ARE NOT HUMAN!!! Its my feeling that political advertising should be banned and that corporations should be prohibited from spending their stockholders money on lobbying and fake grassroots groups and greenwashing and astroturf and all the rest... This is really important.. The founders of this nation DID NOT WANT THIS... its exactly what they did not want..
