Guest guest
I have one called Sinus Rinse and is a plastic bottle with a tube that you lean over sink and it will squirt in nose. You can find it as a kit with the saline ph balanced packets or purchase the bottle and box of packets separate. Works great but never solved my sinus problem but may help more once I don't breathe myco's non-stop. Actually, last year and now my eyes and face stay swollen which I'm sick of along with the pain in face/sinuses and eyes along with back of neck....I think the squirt bottle would be easier than the neti pot. You can buy Simply Saline also and Wal-mart has it and has no preservatives in it. I know CVS has the Sinus Rinse where I bought mine not sure about Walmart for that one. Guest guest
I have been using a neti pot for years now. I make my own solution. After my last sinus surgery, my ENT gave me a recipe that I still use. One pre-mix neti solution I purchased had some sort of herb in it that made me pretty ill so I don't buy that stuff anymore. It is cheaper and fresher to make ones on. I use a on half teaspoon of sea salt and a half teaspoon of baking soda (the baking soda takes the burn out of the salt) to each cup and one half of distill water. One can add a teaspoon of honey..the docs recipe called for clear Kero Syrup but that is actually corn base and I am allergic to corn so dr said for me to use little honey if I wanted to. Sometimes I will warm it up for about 20 seconds. I usually use about 2 cups per nostril. Just make sure you bend you head down and around and get that water out of that nose!!! All of that water tends to get stuck up in there and may decide to sloosh out when you least expect it and in front of everyone!! BTW, I don't think it is good to use the honey in this solution all of the time but only about once a week...I think the honey and Kero Syrup has more to do with healing right after surgery, not sure about it for every day use. > > > > I may go out and purchase one of these to see if this may be playing > > into my facial pain.
