Guest guest
If you get a good vacuum, get a HEPA vac. I have a Eureka Boss that has a hepa filter but it is loud as most vacs are. I'd look at others to compare. The hose on my vac isn't flexible and drives me crazy but has extensions to make the hose longer. The foot press to release the handle is hard from my 100lb self to release but I get it done. Seems it was $150. I have two Hunter's air purifiers I purchased from Lowes. They have a prefilter that is carbon and a true hepa filter. They also have monitors for the prefilter change and hepa change which is good for us brain damaged people with fog. I decided to get another type for my bedroom and is Allerair and the hepa suppose to last up to 5 years and carbon 3 years I think and prefilter every 3-4 months. It is OK but NO monitor so I don't recommend it and also I keep on 1 from 1-3 levels b/c on 2 it sounds like a wind storm. Not sure if being on carpet contributes to that and I have animals so even when I'm gone, I do not want to scare them with the louder noise. Allerair also isn't plastic so no VOC's and had good write ups on it and seems I read the military use this one. I do like the fact the hepa can last up to 5 years and they may make one with monitors now as I suggested that to them and sure others have too. I wrote down dates and just hope I can keep up with them. Hunter I keep on 2 from the 1-3 levels and it's not very loud. Hunter has come out with newer versions and I believe they have one that you wash the filters. I think my Hunter's were $170-200 a year ago. Hepa filter last 8000 hrs and prefilter 2000hrs and of course in beginnig may need changing before that if cleaning real nasty air. I think it's www.allergybuyersclub.com where you can see comparison of air purifiers ETC. Guest guest
Missy, My wife also went out on FMLA, not realizing after 12 weeks if you don't return they fire you, and they did, under doctors care. FMLA would be good for many situations, but a chronic illness, especially coming back into a toxic work environment, not good. I would suggest that you try to change that to short-term disability, this way you can get paid for the time you are out. What they did close to the end of her 12 weeks in black and white (dumb) is told her she had to come back with no restrictions or be terminated. There was no possible way she could go back, because of the severe reactions she had there. Hope this helps, KC --- In , Missy Gluckmann <mopsyj77@...> wrote: > > I was exposed to several molds last summer that have resulted in filing a workman's comp case and MCS, CFS and documented memory loss/fogginess. > I need to purchase a good air purifier and vaccumm for my apartment.
