Guest guest
My question is relative to my specific high cortisol at night and how to dose properly. I've seen that Dr. recommends ultimately for 20mgs: 12mgs first thing in the am, 5mgs @ noon, 2 mgs @ 3pm, and 1mg at 6pm. But if my cortisol is rising in the late afternoon / and out of range in the evening, won't this last dose cause me more problems? Shall I just dose 3 times a day instead? I've learned recently about Phosphatidylserine and just purchased 100mgs. It looks like I'll have to get a much higher dose because I haven't noticed any difference yet. I've just started taking Isocort yesterday, so I've only been taking 2.5mgs in the morning and I've lowered my Thyroid-S to avoid any thyroid dump. I feel no change - still very tired until late afternoon / evening when I start feeling like I can walk around. And I don't feel more HypoT yet with lowering my dose, so that was probably a good choice. During the week, getting up at 7am is total agony. On the weekends, I naturally wake up around 9am. Here are my recent labs: 6/30/06 (BLOOD TEST MY ENDO INSISTED ON AFTER MY SALIVA RESULTS) Cortisol, Routine (taken at 4pm) - 2.9 (3 - 13 ug/dL) Cortisol, Post Stim (taken 4:45pm) - 18.8 (range greater than 2 times the baseline value) 6/19/06 (SALIVA PAID FOR MYSELF SINCE MY ENDO DIDNT BELIEVE I HAD ADRENAL PROBLEMS) Cortisol morning - 1.9 (3-8) Cortisol noon - .7 (2-4) Cortisol evening - .8 (1-2) Cortisol night - 1.7 (.5-1.5) __________________________________________________
