Hey Guys,

I don't know about you, but I live in the United States of America and as

the song goes it is the land that I love. I am willing to fight for what she

stands for to protect her. We have had a charming idiot at our helm for six

years. He has had puppet masters who work his strings and know how to build

an empire based on fear and hatred simply for the benefit of stealth special

interests. In my book, he is nothing more than a front man, Howdy Doody, for

the carte blanche interests of industry. Never in the history of this

country I love has there been so much rampant greed and corruption among those

who

abuse their power at the expense of their fellowman.

But you know what? The people have spoken. We are not stupid. Our country

was not founded upon a one party system. Tyranny of a heavy handed corrupt

rule, is what my ancestors fought to defeat so that I would have a better

life. Freedom of speech and rights of the common man was the mantra of our

founding fathers. I believe in our founding fathers.

Once again, and taking effect within days, we will have necessary balance

in power between financial interest and the rights of individual man. We will

be able to restore to this land that I love, what my ancestors were willing

to give their lives to achieve for benefit of their children. It is a bright

new day for America. We have new opportunities. And I for one am going to

continue to fight to regain the soul of the country I love. As my ancestors

fought for the benefit of my future, I will fight for the benefit my

children's.

people have become in the destruction of her and themselves. This process of

stratification and abuse of power is exactly what the founders of this

nation fled in corrupt and monarchistic Europe to come here. They wanted to

Have you ever read the great book " Toxic Sludge is Good For You " ?

It's about the public relations industry and environmental issues and

how corporations 'manage' them in the media. " Spin Control " or

" Incident Control " or whatever...

It's a bit old (its largely pre-Internet, in they don't talk about the

ways corporations and lobbying firms have learned to manipulate the

opinions of them and 'their' issues on the Internet.

But its VERY timely and very instructive about corporate greenwashing

and fake grassroots organizing, etc. Exactly the kind of things that

people trying to improve the situation for people like us run into.

They use the example of toxic sewer sludge.. uh.. 'green biosolids'

but it applies to so many other areas as well.

Hey Sharon, You said it all very well and I couldn't agree more. I just

finished watching Al Gore's Global Warning!!! If you haven't watched it make

sure you do. If we all don't do something soon I don't think there will be a

planet left for our children and grandchildren. The world needs to listen to

the

scientists who have the facts, the proof and information to back them or the

nightmare will only get worse. My family is doing their part and will

continue to fight but when will the rest of the world?!

be the hottest year on record. Also, did you see about the Ice Shelf that

broke off in Canada last week? The scientists thought this was huge

information and very alarming. It barely even made the news.

I was at a party last week with a pretty high ranking friend of ours, who is

in the military. He doesn't believe global warming is real. Another

friend, who is a jr high teacher, had never heard of " An Inconvenient Truth " .

Two

other friends were discussing how honest Bush is. These are really

nice people and very educated. I love them dearly. But, I think they must only

watch Faux News and check the stock market reports. I just do not get it

how anyone could think these things in this day and time. But, trust me, there

It's been unbelievably warm in the mid west. I've had my windows open

every day except for rainy days and people just in lightweight

jackets. I can't imagine anyone denying this.

Sharon, yes, I did hear about it but not on the news! They don't what people

to hear it. Today in land it is 74 degrees and people are in shorts and

flip flops!!!! Everyone thinks it's great and loving life!! They just do

understand the consequences the warm weather will have on the planet!!!!!! The

little soccer moms just jump back in their hug SUV's and take off to go fill
