Guest guest
Jackie, how much Ajax liquid do you use and is it really safe to use in the washer? I would think it would make too many suds and harm the washer. My son is an auto tech and I'm interested in the Ajax to rid the clothes of the shop smell. Thanks, Sue Barb, My husband works in a plant that makes gears for Dodge. Husband refuses to wear an apron which we had many of discussions on why he should, but oh well, can't make him...can make an old husband learn new tricks!! LOL..just a husband joke! I was having a problem with the grease from his clothes sticking to the side of the washing machine and then one could still smell the nasty grease. This meant his nasty grease was getting into other laundry. One day I ran out of laundry detergent and used Ajax Super Degreaser Dishwashing liquid. First thing i noticed, no nasty gear grease smell!! Then as I was removing the laundry, no grease ring in the washing machine!!! Since my discovery, I use about a half a cup to his laundry along with my regular detergent. I use the Ruby Red Grapefruit kind as citrus odors do not bother me...I know I know, it is most likely not a true citrus but a chemical that smells like citrus but it does not bother me like other dishwashing fragrances. The Ajax brand tends to work best IMO for degreasing husbands clothes. I use to buy what ever was on sale with my coupons since I could get these products for almost nothing but being the other brands don't work as well as Ajax, I now just stick to Ajax. > > > > I used ammonia and dawn dish soap in hot water for non-porus items, > > did it outside in a large >
