Thanks so much for posting this - it totally emphasizes the point I

was making earlier about why I would never seek disability

for " mental " reasons. Even without that, you can see the potential

for mothers loosing custody of their children, due to lack of

understanding and recognition of mold illness and even worse being

classified as " Child Abusers " . And, this is in California - a state

far more progressive than Texas!

This shows the lack of emphathy shown to people suffering from

depression and how some just lump it in with 'mental disorders', as if

they are all equal, even though I'm sure everyone on earth has

experienced depression to some degree. Small loss, slight depression

that affects your mood but not your life; very large losses and anyone

would have depression to point where it would impair their life, some

forever, some at least temporary, so it is ashamed that some people in

position of authority take this attitude, but I have seen this very

thing. This is why I now only discuss my feelings with family and

friends, rather than authorities. These records are getting more

easily accessible to authorities of all sorts, including employers and

other people that affect your life as they 'crack down on patient'

access to records but more liberal access to doctors, who many times

are hired by businesses to check the health of employees, etc. If you

are retired, not a matter to worry about but if you are not, it is.

It could affect your care in a nursing home someday as you are

considered 'crazy' right from the 'get go'.

That is so sad, I was lucky that my girls were raised and out of the

house when I was diagnosed with ptsd. all it takes is one doctor with

his head up " you know where " .

I have heard of this happening before. What about the Guidance for

Clinicians on the on the Recognition and Management of Health Effects

Related to Mold Exposure and Moisture Indoors. It is for doctors to

follow.

http://www.oehc.uchc.edu/clinser/MOLD%20GUIDE.pdf

I am depressed but because we have such a corrupt government, and the

loss of my former life. I want my 9 years back. It is one thing to get

sick but to have your landlords contribute to the illness is worse,

and the fact that I had everyone involved from the Attorney General's

office, etc. begging for help. I am tired of the abuse.

I don't tolerate printers well but have printed out things before and

some doctors who all ready know it all refuse to even look at them.

this infectious disease doctor did say he would read whatever I brought

him, so worth a try. I'm afraid that I've gotten to the point that I

have little faith or trust for the doctors around here.thanks for

reminding me about this one.
