Guest guest
All, I have due to the molds (HVAC system) Asthma, Bronchitis, RAD, Toxic Metabolic Encephalopathy, along with many other symptoms/illnesses. I live on nebulizer treatments, 2 different inhalers, Allegra, and other medications. The doctor also has me on oxygen at 2 L due to very low levels throughout the nights. I don't know what else would help me, unless I find a toxic mold free home to live in. I would pass this by the doctor. It is just so terrible how we all are infected with these illnesses from these nasty culprits. Take care everyone, my prayers go out to all. Darlene <vbrk@...> wrote: Live, Thanx for this tip. Caution: When taking L-cysteine, N-acetyl-cysteine, or glutathione, it is recommended that three times as much vitamin C should be taken at the same time to prevent these amino acids from being oxidized in the body. N-acetyl-cysteine may increase urinary zinc excretion,15 leading the study authors to recommend that zinc and copper be taken concurrently when supplementing with N-acetyl-cysteine for extended periods. Re: [] breathing probs-- Everyone who is havin breathing probs, you need to know about N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC). It dramatically helps breathing problems, especially if you take it with vitamin C Take at least 1.5 grams a day, in 3 500 mg doses.. or more.. They are giving it to the 9-11 survivors.. it helps detoxify the lungs.. Quercetin helps too.. lots of things help.. But NAC is a biggie.. You need to take it several times a day.. Guest guest
There is a dramatic difference between n-acetyl-cysteine and plain cysteine. I don't have the ref in front of me but basically, as I remember it, plain cysteine has some major gotchas associated with it, but n-acetyl-cysteine is completely safe. I think that the references that you cited are good but they really don't express how much of a lifesaver NAC can be to mold victims, especially in effective, sustained doses. At least taking it, and when I started taking it I realized that it helped and that I needed to take it several times a day.. Then it made a very, very noticable difference to me. It gave me a grasp on life that I was losing.. I don't want to post all the labs tests here that we did but I'd be happy to share them in private with any people I know here and then you'll see why I think its important to tell people about things that helped in that situation.. Guest guest
I got curious about this and found this link which explains the roles of NAC and other sulfur containing amino acids. It also explains why the methionine my doctor prescribed helped so much. http://www.lef.org/newshop/items/item00215.html - --- In , LiveSimply <quackadillian@...> wrote: > > There is a dramatic difference between n-acetyl-cysteine and plain cysteine. > I don't have the ref in front > of me but basically, as I remember it, plain cysteine has some major gotchas > associated with it, but n-acetyl-cysteine > is completely safe. Guest guest
I'm not saying it is a bad product. But, yes it does have side effects and you need Xtra C. You should know what they are incase you start experiencing side effects. So, I have gotten a couple links. Is this the same stuff you are talking about? If not could you provide me w/some links so I could read about it? Guest guest
For the brains here, knock your socks off compairing! Now, I am going to get away from mold and relax my mind with a Life Time movie! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cysteine http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N-acetylcysteine --- In , LiveSimply <quackadillian@...> wrote: > > There is a dramatic difference between n-acetyl-cysteine and plain cysteine. > I don't have the ref in front > of me but basically, as I remember it, plain cysteine has some major gotchas > associated with it, but n-acetyl-cysteine > is completely safe. Guest guest
N-acetylcysteine also protects against radiation. So it would be extremely useful in fighting the biological effects of nuclear war or terrorism. I wonder why they don't publicize this?
