So Mr. Hurley is clearly such a smart guy that he is putting himself and his

opinion up against the oldest human science the science that is literally

the 'root' of the medical profession, the science of human healing, going

back thousands and thousands of years.

Boy, what a smart man he is...

You can make many of the same flimsy arguments that Mr. Hurley makes about

'supplements' (which appears to be an EXCEEDINGLY broad category for Mr.

Hurley which encompasses vitamins, xenobiotics, herbs of every variety, etc.

- EVERYTHING THE DRUG INDUSTRY DOES NOT MAKE OBSCENE PROFITS ON???

Everything poor people can afford??? ???)

anyway, you could make the same arguments about prescription drugs.. there

are many bad reactions to prescription drugs.. Does that mean we should ban

them? NO. The more CHOICE people have the better. You better believe that if

supplements were not available, not only would drugs be much more expensive

(less competition is always a bad thing) but also people would have no

options BUT to take more prescription drugs which in my experience are

typically much more dangerous and complex in their effects than most

supplements..

The truth is that considering how popular supplements are (very) the number

of adverse reactions to them is very low.. That CAN'T be said about

prescription drugs in the same way.. there are lots of examples of

prescription drugs proving to be dangerous..

If you take supplements, the important thing is to

1.) Do your homework and read up on them

2.) Buy a good quality supplement.. from a reputable supplier..

3.) Don't take more than the recommended dose..

LOL...it -IS- scary to think there might be <<PRESCRIPTION DRUGS>> in

these natural preparations!!!!!

.....AND, " a million and a half suffering 'adverse reactions to

vitamins and supplements since 1983'. " is a paltry amount compared to

the record of FDA approved drugs!!!

OH... I doubt he believes what he says himself. Probably has a stash

of herbal cures at home. These people say what they get paid to say.

The FDA approved bunch says this on the one hand and then start to put

herbs and other natural nasties in their own products. They just

don't want to share the shelf space.
