Guest guest
I posted about this topic before and thought I'd report back progress I've made so far. I was having a problem with air pressure on my ears. I got a suggestion to use " ear planes " , which are ear plugs designed to ease the discomfort of pressure changes in air planes. They have a tiny hole in tip to allow air to go through them but because hole is so tiny, change in air pressure is slowed down to very slow change even if air pressure around you is going faster. So I went to hyperbarics and used them and success...no ear pain or much popping on way down or way back up, so anyone with ear problems who were considering hyerbaric oxygen treatment I recommend them (Ed). However be sure to make sure they fit properly. If you were to knock them out or they fell out during hyperbaric treatment, you may have a sudden air pressure change that could hurt your ears, so fit is very important. They need to fit snuggly. They come in different sizes. They aren't expensive so you can try different sizes to find pair that fits best...feels securely in place. I bought first pair at Walmart and it was sized for universal fit. However I found them to be way too large and they felt 'wobbly' in my ear and the 'stem' stuck way out where I was afraid it could easily be hit and dislodge plug, so I ordered a pack of varied sizes, multi pack that had an adult and child/small size and small size fit my ear best, snuggly and no stem sticking out. I had to reach in ear to get stem and pull them out. You insert them and then turn them (they have a corkscrew type tip) until they feel secure. Anyway, this is FYI.
