I seem to recall commercials for the Sharper Image Ionic Breeze, where Larry

Enos from Controlled Environmental Solutions [CES] stood by this product and

it's claims. CES is the remediation company that Ed McMahan won a 7.5

million dollar lawsuit against. Unfortunately all too often companies that

sell

air purifiers make the claim that their purifiers kill mold. Hopefully, with

this lawsuit companies will stop making this claim.

SAN FRANCISCO - Sharper Image Corp. has agreed to discount its high-

tech

gadgets by more than $60 million and make several other concessions

to

settle a class-action lawsuit alleging the specialty retailer misled

customers about the effectiveness of its air purifiers.

The lawsuit occurred because a lawyer bought a unit and found the

ability of the unit to remove dust, etc., did not match the

advertising

claims.
