Guest guest
if they don't understand mold illness, the pictures won't help. I don't think I would press the subject. just my thought. you allways have the right to appeal if you don't agree with the outcome. and angel's right, if they don't understand the illness they should send you to someone that does. I would demand that they do. I only wish that I would have known what was causeing my illness because now my medical records are a mess and some but not all doctors tend to look at them as gospel. only a expert on mold illness could look at them and see what was really going on. this has not helped with my lawsuit, thats why i have tried so very hard to research it all. I'd be very paticular about the doctors you go to. I'm still going through this crap and I am not going to waist my time and get sick to go to a doctor that doesn't understand the illness. I have mcs and one thing i do know is that what happens to me everytime i'm forced to go through a mcs attack can't be good for my health. no one is going to fight for our rights except us and the doctors out there that understand. > > Should I carry pictures of mold I had at home and work so they know it > was real and not in my head? >
Guest guest
Should I ask the doc in the beginning if he is familiar with mold illness? I plan to ask this neuropsychologist if he could recommend a neurotoxicologist(is that the type doc I need) b/c my neuro really hasn't done much for me and isn't educated in mold illness but did write in records that he definately thought my symptomology was from mold exposure and states my ENT has tested and found me allergic to mold. Then he says he can't link the lesion to my symptoms. Well, seems he could link the lesion from the molds. Has anyone had the HLA blood test and had insurance pay for it. Guest guest
I would just go in and do the tests, when he interviews you tell him what has happened to you from mold exposure. weather he believes or not, he has to put something in the report. if your medical records support it, so far and he doesn't believe it, you well have a good reason to appeal and demand that they send you to a specialest. he may not conferm your illness but he's probably not quailified to do so. finding someone that is quailfied is what you need to do, even if it's on your own but better if another doctors sends you to one. just remember, his knowledge is only in his field, not mold illness. he is not quailified to even deturmine weather your sick from mold exposure or not. > > > > > > Should I carry pictures of mold I had at home and work so they > know > > it > > > was real and not in my head? > > > > > >
Guest guest
Yes, you should take pictures and also take samples and have them tested. Ideally a disinterested third party should collect the samples and put each one in a separate clean, uniquely numbered ziploc bag, and send them in to a lab with something called a chain-of-custody form for each one. Then you will know what kind of mold is there. Some mold species can be very toxic, others are harmless.. so this is important.. Texas Tech ( http://indoorairresearch.net ) does mold testing and they are very reasonably priced. Guest guest
Yeah, would love to shove some mold up all docs snout and make them eat it too!! Well, I'm not taking no pic and no med. records and just going and go with the flow. No FMLA form back from my doc yet either and guess he's taking his sweet time and gonna charge me too. I had a form filled out in Oct. and HR guy said has to be up to date for me to turn in. Had a crappy day and hope the doc office isn't contaminated tomorrow. I will be off of here soon to crash and hope I'm not having one of my worst days tomorrow and a cold front is coming. Oh, girl sits near me in office says her tingling has beein happening alot in arms and she's been upstairs lately where they are moving 1000's of boxes of dusty, covered mycotoxins and who knows what. She also failed Dr. Shoe's online VCS test. Let me go read other post so I can crash. I will be back to let you know what happens at psycho doc.
