This is actually one of my preferred choices for treating BP. But just because they agree with me, doesn;t mean they will agree with you! Do you take Potassium wiht this? That may be a problem if you don;t as it can really remove alot of sodium and potassium. Hi Val Well the GP said it was the BP med with the least side effects. I was dragged, kicking and screaming by her, into the use of theser drugs. I asked abut supplementing potassium and she said I would be unlikely to be able to buy them anywhere as supplementing with it was dangerous. I could eat a banana a day she said. I have been taking Celtic seasalt and magnesium. I rang the mergency doctor last night as I was dipping in and out of consciousness all day and it was getting worse last evening, much worse. He said he did not think there was a connection with the BP med. Which is odd when it says on the patient info leaflet that it can cause unusual weakness and tiredness and also it mentions nausea. I had dizziness for the first three weeks but that cleared. Anyway I am not going to take it this morning. No thanks. I was given a BP med about four years ago and same thing: I was in bed for a month and I put it down to the HCV at that time. Thanks Val. I would not stop the med as I agree it is unlikely to be the cause. The side effects theta you mention are form lowering the bP too much. WHich will cause dizziness and fatigue. Are you drinkign enough fluids? These WILL dehydrate oyu if you are not drinking enough. Hi Val It is 145/87 this lunchtime and i did not take today's dose. MY BP did not go low with this med Val, I am only on a low dose and it has been about 140/80 (ish) for the last few weeks. Dizziness/unusual tiredness and weakness/nausea, palps/arrhythmias are all mentioned of the patient info leaflet. last time I took BP meds I had similar problems with gross fatigue and spent a month in bed before the penny dropped...... I wonder if this is happening because my liver may be slow in processing the drug and so perhaps this could cause a kind of backing-up, which would look like an overdose? I do not think this is a back up giving overdose or your BP would be too low, but oyu may not be reacting well to an ingredient in it, maybe even a filler, in which case a doifferent med might work better for oyu.It is important to get your BP down though as permanent damage can be done to kidneys and heart from it staying high for too long. Thanks Val, she is busy today and I have booked in to see her Tuesday morning. Mo NOVA Counselling & Healing Services

Guest guest
Mo, how much magnesium are you taking, in what form? You will be losing mag as this drug is a diuretic and you need mag to absorb potassium. Deficiency of magnesium will also cause high blood pressure and fatigue, heart palps. You will need more mag in this hot weather too esp as you sweat easily. Its a difficult mineral to replace, Take care, Anne --- In NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS , NOVAexeter@... > Hi Val > It is 145/87 this lunchtime and i did not take today's dose. > MY BP did not go low with this med Val, I am only on a low dose and it has > been about 140/80 (ish) for the last few weeks. > Dizziness/unusual tiredness and weakness/nausea, palps/arrhythmias are all > mentioned of the patient info leaflet. > last time I took BP meds I had similar problems with gross fatigue and spent > a month in bed before the penny dropped...... > I wonder if this is happening because my liver may be slow in processing the > drug and so perhaps this could cause a kind of backing-up, which would look > like an overdose? > > Mo > > NOVA Counselling & Healing Services > > > >
