Guest guest
Greenwood officals discuss removal of mold KTBS Shreveport, Louisiana http://www.ktbs.com/news/local/5094921.html Thursday night, the Board of Aldermen in Greenwood met to discuss the potential dangers and how to safely resolve the mold issue in that town. The mold is in the city hall and the police department. Alderman Hanson says representatives from Clean-Air Systems of Louisiana provided the board with bids to remove the mold. The city will use money from a contingency fund. Mayor Lampkins ordered a toxicology analysis to see if it's safe for employees and citizens who come into either building. Hanson says representatives reported there is no immediate threat, but the toxicolgy results will provide more details. Hanson says the cost to fix the mold problem will not hinder the on- going plans for the city's multi-purpose community center. Work to fix the mold problem is set to begin January 15th.
