Hello jackiebreeze@...,

In reference to your comment:

Hi,

I am looking for a home made solution that is safe to wash any kind of

veggies and fruits. The store bought kind is way to pricy. Do any of

you have a solution you use? All ideas are welcome!

Thanks,

Jackie

****I wash my fresh veggies and fruits with Clorox or white vinegar in a

sink of water....I use one cup.....

After I rinse off the Clorox or white vinegar I spray them with grapefruit

seed extract.....I mix 15 to 20 drops in a 7 oz spray bottle and spray

them....you don't have to rinse after that...

I know I am a difficult case, but I can't hardly handle cleaning with

Clorox, I don't think I can handle using it on my veggies either. I

think I read this before..was it in yeast connection?

Gross, why would anyone use chlorox on food? That is not safe. Use

white vinegar. I may have missed something here. Rhonda

Vinegar has side benefit of crisping wilted veggies. My doctor says

you can wash veggies in ascorbic acid to clean and detox also but

can't be citric acid, must be 'ascorbic acid' (vit c). That would be

more expensive than vinegar though.

Sorry I've missed many of these questions about washing veggies but I am

very interested in passing the correct info on to my 23 yr. old daughter. Does

it matter what type of vinegar, white or red? Can you wash all veggies in this?

You can get gallon size containers of white vinegar cheaply. I think

it comes in this size precisely because it is used for cleaning.
