Guest guest
I don't know anything about putting books in microwaves but I know what you mean about the mail. I know my post office is a terrible place and I haven't been in for over 3 yrs. When I get my mail I open it right away and throw away (outside) whatever I don't need. The rest(bills) I put into a plastic bad until I write the checks. The thing I hate about the bills are the ones that come with fragrance samples including the catalogs. There should be a law banning fragrance samples in the mail!!! I also know that books are the worst for mycotoxins!! I didn't bring anything home from school that I couldn't wash. I had to leave 12 yrs. worth of books and teaching materials in my room. There are still there being used! I don't even go to the library anymore because of the hits I get from the books. This illness has completely changed my life!!! Sue I wonder if magazines can be put in there too. I recall reading about putting books in microwaves to zap toxins. I don't have a ton of books but would like to get the toxins off them without burning them. Also, can magazines be put in there too without melting/burning. I haven't felt pins/needles all day and open up a new magazine that was wrapped in plastic and within 30 seconds I felt that crap. Haven't taken any CSM today but guess I need to now. I can't believe this sensitivity and it makes me Mad and people think I'm crazy when I tell them how quick I know I have been exposed. A book can be covered in a lot of mycotoxins. I've notice also getting my mail I'm being exposed and get hits. I'm
Guest guest
There is a LAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, you can DEMAND that department stores NOT insert samples in your mail. It took me almost a YEAR to get Dillards to do it my way...but, hell, now, the actually print my bill from a compter in TX and mail it to me. After they did the no inserts in the same room with the inserts it was...are you nuts...the paper absorbs the damn fragrance. Took it ALL the way to CT to the portfolio manager of GE Credit....it can be done just demand it and threanen them with ADA and USPO On Wed, 31 Jan 2007 ssr3351@... wrote: > Date: Wed, 31 Jan 2007 19:19:59 EST > From: ssr3351@... > Reply- > > Subject: Re: [] How many have put books in microwaves > > > I don't know anything about putting books in microwaves but I know what you > mean about the mail. > I know my post office is a terrible place and I haven't been in for over 3 > yrs. Guest guest
I don't think that a microwave would 'deactivate' mycotoxins on books, because it probably is not hot enough.. At least not trichothecene mycotoxins. You would have better luck HEPA vaccuming them and then wiping the outside of them down, including the spline, with a cloth moistened with 50% household ammonia in water, then a damp cloth, and then drying them well. MAKE SURE TO USE GLOVES...and ventilate very well..
