Guest guest
Rhonda, Yes the HVAC system was tested. Aspergillus, pencillium, amongst other molds and yeasts were found in the supply and return ducts. Kitchen cabinets were taken out and replaced. The only remediation that was completed on the ducts was by the maintenance man. He opened the living room duct and the bedroom duct and ripped out with his bare hands the insulation at the top and sides, and put in little pieces of new insulation. That was the remediation, and then they told me my problem was solved. I know, it is a joke but I am not laughing. Yes everything has been confirmed, I am very sick from the molds, and now breath with oxygen. I am trying to get out of here as best as I can before it literally kills me, which can happen. My doctor has said if they try to do any other repairs while I am here and if I continue to stay here, I will end up with the prognosis of hypersensitivity pneumonitis and cancer, etc. if I dont all ready have it. I have an appointment with the cancer clinic Friday, and seeing the pulmonologist next week, for more tests. Yes, there are others showing symptoms, and have reported this to management. What happens the majority of the time, they send in maintenance and the cleaning people to wash off walls, then paint over them. Hide Hide Hide, especially before the board of health comes in. What they dont see they don't report (the board of health that is). They totally ignored the mycologist report that I gave to them months ago, said it was out of their realm of expertise. This is just a small portion of what I am dealing with. Usually if you have one of these growing you have the other. They are both produce mycotoxins and yes dangerous. You do not want any type of mold growing in your home and HVAC. Thre are many types of toxic molds. Only the correct testing will identify genus and species of mold but as I was told last year, any mold you have needs to be removed period! You can't really tell by color the genus or species. I'll let other post more. Sounds like you will need to have some remediation work done and it needs to be done correct also to not spread the spores and mycotoxins all over the place. I bet behind those bathroom tiles will be very bad if it's coming thru them. Was anything done to remediate the HVAC and ducts yet? My HVAC was contaminated also and I had to do some major remediating to correct a damp crawl space and replace the hvac/ducts and detox everything in my house that I could. You can see pics under the photos on this group, Rhonda's pics. Are you or anyone in that apartment complex showing symptoms from mold illness? Did the mycologist identify the mold? When you say cabinets, are talking about kitchen cabinets or bathroom or both? Have you thought about moving out of that apartment? Rhonda > > I thought I was seeing things. Guest guest
OMG Darlene, I had no idea you are this ill. My heart goes out to you, I hope you can find a new place soon. Please please please keep us all posted on your progress. Do you have a digital camera you can use to document the situation in your apartment building? You need to connect up with your neighbors and get everyone together, if you pay rent, you deserve a habitable place to live.

Guest guest
DUDE I dont want to scare you or anything but LEAVE TONIGHT I just got out of house with the same problem little black spots everywhere and if yoy only could see the big part is ugly ugly Luckily my fiance a carpet layer went to take go tile out bath tub and underneath the vinyl siding stuff it was pure black ohh the remediation went on for weeks all the walls torn out to the beams the floor hald the back wall in the other room my landlord only would pay 1000 so basicly it cost us everything and we still had to move. I have been so sick I have lost 60 lbs due to problems swallowing this has only been in last 4 months. We just moved into new place and it is so much better I must admit I am paranoid BUT LISTEN my mom had cancer a little tiny tumor which was shrinking she had COPD which wasn't to bad she wasn't even on oxy except at night but she got aspergillus ball in her lounge and she went plummiting down hill this was 2 years ago and before I knew anything about mold she all of a sudden started going into little comas she would be non responsive and then after a day out of her house she would be better they would send her home, she went to hospice house and they had to kick hero out she was up painting her nails and feeling good enough to kick me out they sent her home and after 4 days of being home she went into another little coma and died. She had her house tested for mold the last month, I thought she was losing it aspergillus is everywhere right. her air in her house turned up negative supposively. Well to make long story short my fiance was hired to change carpet in vinyl in her rental after her death and the whole kitchen floor was covered in mold under the vinyl the fridge was leaking it was completely wroughting out. It was the same black specks we found in our rental underneath the floor and in walls. AND I WISH to god I would have known then I would have taken my mom right out of there she still would have died but probably not for a few more years. So PLease get out no matter what they arent going to be able to fix it. TRUST me just leave I know its hard Mia iluvbunnies5262 <iluvbunnies5262@...> wrote: That is a Joke what the maitenance guy did and I bet he didn't wear protective gear and respirator either. He just made toxins fly all over the place including right in his lungs. Do get out of there ASAP if you can and you know you will have to detox everything you own. I still have a few things left I need to do and been a year since remediation. Nobody helped me physically do any of this detoxing either. I'm glad I found this group last year b/c without them I'd be totally insane and everyone has helped with all your post and still helping. So does that mean the airhandler was not replaced? Actually, sounds like the apartment complex needs to be gutted and decontaminated and rebuilt. So many buildings/housing are contaminated it is a major crisis that is being ignored. I hope the future will change soon about this and more people/physicicans educated about toxic mold and what it can do. Rhonda > > > > I thought I was seeing things. Guest guest
I'm sorry, but I think people like Darlene and the rest of us deserve better than this. This is 'the richest country in the world'. I know we don't own the buildings but we do pay rent...
