Guest guest
I am very interested in the heater concept. To me there a few benefits that would relax my mind tremendously for my daughters health. The problem I have encountered is this: We have a crawl space that stays very dry. Our current furnace is a down draft and keeps the crawl space warm in the winter, and cool in the summer. Never any water/moisture/condensation down there. (No the air from the crawl is not brought back into my home) If we were to use these heaters I am concerned w/keeping my crawl warm enough so the pipes don't burst. Wonder if the warm floor would keep this from happening. Also, I note that even w/these units that I am looking at, your furnace will still need to run, but only at 1/4-1/2 the amount of time. Would that be enough to keep it warm enough down there? Guess I just try so hard to keep everything dry and safe, that this one thing keeps nagging my mind. I check down there almost everyday. My sump is down there, but we have 2 alarms on it just in case, but my mind still needs to look down there. I am not a crawlspace heat expert, or a pipe freezing expert. hehehe Not sure any of you are either. What would your thoughts on this be? I am just looking for a way to stop my furnace from running so much in the winter. If I didn't have the crawl I would have done this months ago.
