So, we are the obsessed and worried - projecting our fears and beliefs - that

our environment made us sick - and that accusation from the head of a group of

'environmental' doctors! Unreal. They have the thankless job of saying No -

poor babies. Trade that for being a patient condescendingly patted on the head

- and basically told they're crazy. What has happened to our health, our immune

and virtually every other body systems, is not a mere allergy. And we know mold

caused it. And that is environmental. And we are disproportionately being

ignored (and bankrupted, and sick).

< " (ACOEM) performs a great, unrecognized service to medicine and to the

community as a first line of defense against questionable practice. Because

people tend to project their fears and beliefs about health onto perceptions of

their environment, our practices and clinics disproportionately attract the

worried, the obsessed, people who disagree with science and medicine, and " true

believers. "

This comes with the territory, given our commitment to environmental medicine

and to evidence-based medical practice. Our thankless role, when confronted

with unsupportable beliefs, is to review the evidence, to explain patiently,

to

say " no " when it is required, and not infrequently, to take abuse.>

What gets me is that they want us to THANK them for GIVING PEOPLE PERMISSION

TO POISON US?
