Gross, why would anyone use chlorox on food? That is not safe. Use

white vinegar. I may have missed something here. Rhonda

*********No Rhonda it is safe.....you rinse them after soaking and washing

in Clorox....this method has been used for YEARSSSS, as there is NO WAY to

control migrant workers urinating in the fields....Yes, the owners of the farms

do their best to stop it, but I'm not about to take a chance, are you?? I'm

62 yrs old and was taught this as a wee tike....my granny used this method

for years of her acre garden....you get more chlorine, which is worse than

Clorox, swimming in a swimming pool....Critter crap and urine is just as

bad....

Hello barb1283@...,

In reference to your comment:

You can get gallon size containers of white vinegar cheaply. I think

it comes in this size precisely because it is used for cleaning.

*********I get Heinz White Vinegar by the gallon at Wal-mart and Cosco....
