Guest guest
I dont remember percentages. All I know is they factored in my disability payments. On disability I only get 500. I pay for my life and health insurance out of it. Janet
Guest guest
maybe they get a percentage of whatever backpay they can screw you out of. or maybe theri sticking it in theri pocket and just telling you that you that you didn't get it. I thought I was the only one that got screwed on this but it's sounding more like the norm. how would a person check theri records to find out if back pay was alloted or not? > > I dont remember percentages. Guest guest
At least with the State Gov. job I had I have health benefits for life and no payment since I'm single but a $350 deductible. I recall the retirement system counselor saying they calculte retirement disability up to age 67 and if I get the amount he told me, is $600 more than my normal retirement would have been which I couldn't have lived on. He said I'd get that for life so I'm confused really about social security period with or without SSDI what amount I would get. I know my figures I have on SS the disability amount is the largest amount. I tried calling the retirement system to ask some questions but all I get is voicemail and nobody calls back. I hate voicemail and people just delete them and do not even do their job calling back and answering questions. The social security disability amount I have on this sheet they sent me says I'd get $1094 so that is why I wondered if they would give me less with me getting retirement disablity and it was calculated more than regular retirement. I hope the retirement system gets me that letter in mail this week showing me the amount I will get so I will know for sure and hoping they have me on payroll already so I do not have to wait until March 25th for all three paychecks. I'm glad they are paying me for Jan. since I didn't work that month. That is happening b/c HR guy put effective date Jan. 1st and I applied end of Oct. but HR guy said to give them 2 months to approve. Took 3 months waiting for the evaluation to be sent to the retirement system for the State Bd to review. That is still way quicker than SSDI and I can't believe they take so long to approve.
