Guest guest
I just looked in my records & found that I filed in June 2006 with Allsup, Inc. _www.allsupinc.com_ (http://www.allsupinc.com) I stopped working in Jan. 04 because I was so sick and Dr. S told me I couldn't return. I was also trying at the time to get disability and/or Worker's Comp through my employer. That never happen so I filed for SS. I also thought that they back pay begins at the time you filed NOT the date that they pick so I'm sure we'll have to appeal that decision. Sue Sue, regarding SS. I know you get back benefits but I thought it goes back to when you filed for SS. I have a letter from Dr. Johanning back in 2000 saying I was partially permanently disabled but I have never bothered to file. Can you explain the back pay thing and tell us about what you have had to do. I know it hasn't been that long since you filed so I am impressed that you have accomplished something. Guest guest
Cheryl, please get your paperwork done and mail it. I remember I was so desperate that I paid about $14 to have it sent over night. If you are 6 hrs. from NJ you aren't that far away. I don't know where you are in VA but you'll take the Bay Bridge from polis or if you're further south you may take the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel from Norfolk which then connects to land's eastern shore. You'll have to look at a map to see which is your shortest route. Pocomoke is just south of Salisbury, MD. It's the last little town in MD before you cross into the VA eastern shore!!!!! Get that paper work done and in the mail!!! Sue Good morning Sue, I know exactly what you mean about trying to tell others about this illness. I have friends too that are going Dr. to Dr. looking for answers, just like I have been, but gosh when the evidence hits you in the face, hard to ignore it. There are still alot of people out there that believe their dr.s know all which is amazing to me b/c the medical care in this country is pitiful. How are you feeling these days? Funny, I have a med. diary I've been keeping for about 3-4 yrs. now too. Same as you, there are many days that the
Guest guest
That's what I thought too. I don't understand why they are going back just 3 months from the neuropsych evaluation in Jan. 07. I was very sick in 2004 and could hardly think or get out of bed. Everyone I talked to said that they at least back pay you from when you filed for SS. I guess I'll find out soon. I'm new here but this was my experience. I filed in 2006. They declared that my disability began in 2003 (believe me, I was disabled before that). They paid me back into 2005 telling me that there was an absolute number of months that was the maximum for back pay.

Guest guest
I don't understand. Did you guys apply years ago and have to wait all that time before they heard your cases? If I were you I would count my blessings. You are sick, you need it, and you got it. Seriously.
