Guest guest
In reading the various papers out there about eosinophilic esophagitis, the one thing that they always mention is that its often misdiagnosed as GERD. But its not GERD and the only way to diagnose it seems to be through doing a biopsy of the esophageal wall - so people would need to get an endoscopy. I have done some inquiries and I have been told that its particularly important that the person who analyzes the slides from the biopsy should be someone who is able to identify " EOSINOPHILIC DISEASES " . The PDF version of the paper can be downloaded at http://www.jci.org/cgi/reprint/107/1/83.pdf Print it out and bring it to your doctor. Underline the sections that mention aspergillus, and the summary at the end that I posted earlier. I would also bring them a copy of any environmental test results you have, i.e microscopic spore testing, toxin testing, QPCR mold testing, etc. *Make sure they make a copy and put it into your medical record*
