Guest guest
Thankyou for all the responses! Much appreciated! I feel calmed down but still uncomfortable. s Dr responded today. He stated that its not a real scary # but diffinately one to watch. Dr. said he gets really concerned when it is around 100. He said that it can fluctuate usually with the degree of stricturing ducts....but, has had some bad cases before and the ca 19 was within normal limits and the stritures were worse 2 years ago. Dr. is watching the " trend " just as Penny said. For the medically interested: The cystology report...Left intra brushing stated that general catagory was outside normal limits. Reactive epithelium. Negative for melignancy. Final comment: reactive glandular cells present. Righ intra normal. The ca -19 stated: The centocor ca 19 radioimmunoassay method was used. Results obtained with different assay methods or kits cannot be useed interchangeably. This test uses a commercial kit or reagent that has not been approved or cleared by the FDA. Its performance characteristics were determined by ..laboratories. Oh Timmmm, Aubreyyyy. Plain english please:) Anyway, Im sure he will be retested when he goes to the mayo for his exit study interview, blood drawing session. So, Im not going to bring it up to . If the test come back higher at that time, then we will talk. In the mean time, hes happy, working, enjoying life. No sense worrying him. Thanks for all of your help!
