I saw a brief flash on my local tv news

and didn't have my sound turned up high enough but it had MOLD on the

screen like it was going to be on Friday's tv news. Anyone else see

that in my Raleigh/Wendell area? I wonder what that is about and it

seems it was about in our foods but I'm not sure it was so fast. It

could end up being about that VA hospital but not sure.

Anyhow, a week ago the tv news do checks on restaurants without them

knowing they are coming and two one day said slimy mold was in the

icebox and the wooden cutting boards were fuzzy. Yuckola. No telling

what we get when eating out and I never really thought about the ice

but will now and say NO ice for me...

I'll try to watch and see what is on the news Friday.

They said slimy mold in the icemaker so I would assume the ice got some

in it also and had to have mycotoxins all in it. Wonder what

mycotoxins do if frozen but then when put in drinks the ice starts

thawing. Yuck.

I'm going to watch the 5:00-5:30 first news tonight and see if I can

hear what they were talking about. This was something different I

think from the restaurants ratings. Thought I heard the word Hidden so

maybe they are looking into hidden dangers of mold and could be linked

to the Walter Hospital story. I'll post if I hear what it is.

I saw another restaurant review tonight and besides other yuckies,

another had what they called " Growth " in the ice machine. Must be a

common thing and they probably never think to clean those machines.

I'm definately not having ice in any of my drinks when I'm at a

restaurant now. The other things they show makes me wonder too.

Going to see if I see anything about the mold I saw to see what that

was about if they ever show anything.

Ewwwww GROSS! I wonder if mold gets in a regular icemaker!?! How

does one keep the icemaker clean???
