Guest guest
Vicki, I hate that damned if you do or don't position. Drives you nuts. Sounds like starting your own home is the best option. We have talked about buying a small house for and a caretaker, but I do want him included in the community, and so we have to make sure of that. Men are taught to not talk about troubling issues like dangerous surgeries, but they really need to as much as anyone. They tend to be afraid that their emotions might show, and that would be a huge no-no. You deal with fear by ignoring it. Not too healthy, but it can work. One problem is that couples stop communicating, and that creates problems. I hope you can break through his silence. Anyway, you always have the list. As I said once, we're like this huge family going through life together. That's one reason I can't stop going to the Australia/New Zealand conferences. Those families mean so much to me, I need to go back and see them. So Brisbane, here I come! Guest guest
Thank you for the warm welcome to the group. I live in Wisconsin and am in the beginnings of a divorce. My husband could not take the health problems and money problems they brought on us. It hurts, but my faith is strong and I will go on. Does anyone out there have sleep problems because of the pain? Guest guest
Hello , I am Jena I kinda lurk I guess you could say. one thing that has kinda helped my pain esp. my legs cramps is Elavil. it does nothing to me that I can tell and far as my thinking. I also take Percocet for my back and Fibro. But the Elavil helps in a way Flexiril or Zanflex could not. it might help you also esp with you going through a divorce. so sorry to hear about that. I hope and am not jumping where I should be lurking. But my pain management Dr thought I was crazy when I ask him to let me try this for my muscle relaxer. I have been going to him for about 4 years so we have a pretty good relationship so he let me try it. Nothing leaves me painfree but it does give me a little better life. just wanted to share that with you that maybe you could discuss it with your Dr. and maybe you could try it too. Please look over my spelling it is not my meds. I just plain cannot spell. Even spell check can't figure me out. My Prayers are with you. Jena in Ga Re: Thank You I suffer from alot problems with sleep due to pain. I have been told that stress causes the pain I have to be worse and in turn leads to more sleep loss and stress. I am also am new to the group and am also divorcing so now I am a single mom to a beautiful 1 year old. > > Thank you for the warm welcome to the group. Guest guest
I take Rozerom to help me sleep at night, but some days I can sleep 12-16 hours, so my pain doc gave me Provigil to help keep me awake. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. > > > > > > Thank you for the warm welcome to the group. I live in > > Wisconsin and > > > am in the beginnings of a divorce. Guest guest
About every 5 days maybe I will hit that good sleep stage of sleep. I will be so exhausted. I am not taking near the meds I was. my husband works nights and I feel I have to be alert to be able to know what is going on with my daughter. she is almost 24 and has Down Syndrome. she has the mentality of a 3-5 year old. usually at least one night when he is off I totally crash. I really hate it. because I want to enjoy him being home but it is like my body says ok you can sleep now. and it is like the very same meds I take every night work double time and I crash. I agree that the pain cases the stress and again the stress makes the pain worse. it is a catch 22 no win situation for sure. Guest guest
All 4 of mine have such distinctive personalities....my CC Cat is tightly bonded to me...sleeps under my chin. I wake up to see things between two black ears. Byte...is the weird one. We always thought he was a few bits shy of a full Byte. Marshall the rescue cat. He's smart. He really knows how to plan stuff. And Gizmo is super cute but does not like being held or cuddled. CC is the closest to me. Guest guest
awwwwwwwwwwwwwww. That is so neat. Life is precious. We humans have such a precious gift and that's to nurture such creatures and feel good about it. I'd do the very same. Glad you didn't take the easy way out. Doing the good things and taking a tuffer road has it's own reward. Mine would eat only tuna if they knew they only had to act retarded to get it. I'm not telling them this story....they'll do it. Of course Byte may try it...he already knows how to get steak.
