Guest guest
Mold trouble discovered again at District Judge Antos' office Sharon Herald - Sharon,PA Herald Staff Writer By Tom son http://www.sharonherald.com/local/local_story_058212407.html County officials are aware of the second mold infestation in the district court building in Farrell in six years, Commissioner Olivia Lazor said Tuesday. But wet, wintry weather isn't helping a quick fix to the problem. The building, located on Idaho Street in Farrell, had a previous infestation shortly after the county bought the building and moved then-District Judge Henry Russo's offices there in 2001. That problem had been fixed, Lazor said, but a new infestation was discovered last month. The roof at the building is also leaking. On Feb. 8 commissioners hired HHSDR Architects/Engineers, Sharon, to come up with plans to replace it. Now the county will also be looking at ways to remove the mold. " We're trying to expedite this matter as quickly as possible, " Mrs. Lazor said. " But the weather hasn't been cooperating. " The county is looking at places to hold court proceedings until the problem can be fixed to ensure the welfare of the staff and Judge Antos, Mrs. Lazor said. " This is a temporary inconvenience, " Mrs. Lazor said.
