Mold in the workplace

Could the Southern Nevada Health District be an unhealthy place to

work? That's what many people are saying. And some of them protested

in front of the building Thursday.

Nearly a dozen people were there, with signs and symbolic masks over

their faces. Most of them are friends of Dan uk, a former Health

District employee who's fighting for his life because of exposure to

mold.

He says it all happened here at the Health District. Protestors say

something needs to be done about it. " They're passing the buck,

that's what I say, " protestor Morley Gordon told News 3. " OSHA'S

investigated a couple of times already, they just won't admit the

fact that the building is a death trap. "

uk says he's won a ruling against the Health District, so they

have to pay his medical expenses. The Health District is appealing,

however.

We asked the health district about the complaints. Officials there

say " no comment " because the matter is still in litigation.
