Guest guest
Arlene...I saw that article also and found it most interesting. Also in our newspaper was an article on how mood really affects children with arthritis. Wasn't really anything most of us hadn't already known for a long time. People in good moods don't seem to notice the pain as much as people who are in bad moods or depressed. Overall, they do much better with their disease longterm. Gee...you think????? Guest guest
Thanks . It's very cool to get " scientific " verification of what's been obvious to meditators all the time. I guess we need expert validation before the obvious becomes an acceptable fact. People won't just believe our " anecdotal " empirical evidence until it's been measured in seconds duration. Guest guest
I wonder what would happen if we as individual citizens, began pulling out of health insurance cos and starting out own private medical savings, with only catastrophic coverage? We all complain about how our insurance doesn't cover what we need, anyway. My own family pays over $700/mo for insurance coverage. My point is, the insurance cos, pharma, and gov are all in bed together. If we begin pulling out, not giving insurance our large sums of money, what would that do to the system? And, as we begin to pull out, it would surely catch on to other citizens. Of course, not everyone could afford to do it, don't know that we can until I start working. But I think it's worthy of every American to consider planning to do such a thing. Then, once and for all, health care would be back in our hands, not their's. Guest guest
" Importantly, the toxic measurements obtained by the in vitro method, such as the amount of a contaminant needed to inhibit cell growth, mirror well-established lethal values obtained from animal studies - a long-established method in toxicological studies. " In-vitro toxicity tests can improve the scientific, economic, and ethical value of research and play a significant role in the screening of toxic chemicals and the replacement of animals, " Dr says. " This is important. Thank goodness that people are still doing this kind of research in Australia!
