All, I just wonder if they would bring up as a Preventable

Poison=Mold/Mycotoxins that these children can also be living with, or going to

school with. Although it states Pollution in People, and link between toxic

chemicals and chronic illnesses, and disabilities. I just don't know why they

would not include the indoor toxins these kids are exposed to, just like we are.

Wouldn't it be in the best interest, especially their focus being children. I

thought I would post this, if there is anyone in the group that may be close to

the area that could attend. I think I will send these contacts an email, once

again. They should look at the entire picture, not just chemicals. Darlene

Subject: [healthytomorrow] National Expert to Speak About " Preventable Poisons "

Next week the Alliance for a Healthy Tomorrow Presents two events on:

Preventable Poisons: Keeping Massachusetts Children Healthy

Don't miss it and make sure your Representative and Senator don't either!

Two events:

1. Monday, February 26th - 6:30 PM - Brookline Public Library

2. Tuesday, February 27th - 10:30 AM - The State House

ACTION: Take two steps:

1. Call your State Representative and Senator

2. Come & Bring your friends to Brookline on February 26th

Read on for details

Ken Cook, Director of the Environmental Working Group in Washington, D.C. will

give an engaging and exciting presentation on " pollution in people " and the link

between toxic chemicals and chronic illnesses and disabilities. This is

important background information to support passage of An Act for a Healthy

Massachusetts: Safer Alternatives to Toxic Chemicals.

Step 1: Call your State Legislators

House: 617-722-2000; Senate: 617-722-1455

Encourage the legislators or their staff to attend " Preventable Poisons:

Keeping Massachusetts Children Healthy " on February 27th at 10:30 AM in Room A-1

at the State House. You can tell them that this is an exciting presentation and

an important opportunity to learn about how children's health is being affected

by toxic chemicals.

To find out who your legislators are go to: www.wheredoivotema.com. For

direct contact info go to http://www.mass.gov/legis/memmenuh.htm (House) or

http://www.mass.gov/legis/memmenus.htm (Senate)

Step 2: Bring your friends to hear Ken Cook in Brookline

Monday, February 26th, 2007 6:30 pm

Brookline Public Library - 361 Washington Street, Brookline

Directions: http://www.brooklinelibrary.org/about/directions

This is a rare event to see Ken’s fascinating (and high tech!) presentation.

Please come and bring friends and neighbors with you.

Light refreshments will be served. Please help make this a fragrance free

event by refraining from wearing perfumes, colognes, and other scented products.

Preventable Poisons (Brookline) is co-hosted by Representative Smizik

(D-Brookline), Representative Jay Kaufman (D-Lexington), Senator Tolman

(D-Brighton), and the Brookline Health Department.
