Guest guest
No, you don't need audio capabilities to do a chat. It actually entails typing to people in real time from various locations. You type in your message, click send, then everyone else sees it and types their response to you. I believe that the WebMD chat room is moderated, which means that WebMD has someone there to ask the guest speaker questions, steer the conversation to remain relevant to the topic and make sure everyone behaves themselves. AOL has lots of (unmoderated) chat rooms on various topics, which means it is a free-for-all on whatever the people want to discuss. Visit one of them before the humalog chat and see how it works. I am not sure that you need a certain software to participate in an Internet chat. If you do, visit the WebMD site. I'm sure that they'll inform anyone if they have what is required to participate. Furthermore, even if you don't have the required software to participate in the chat, you can still obtain a transcript of the chat from the website after it is over. The previous chat on neuropathy has been transcribed and is available on the site. Guest guest
Next question: What is the WebMD website address? And what is the date and time of the chat again? I accidentally erased original message. Thanks, Vicki

So I'll peek over your shoulder when you get a response.

Whether you need additional software or a plug-in for your browser I haven't found out yet. I did send an email to WebMD asking them. I'll save your address and forward an answer when I get one. Guest guest
Actually, that URL is http://www.shn.webmd.com/ I have just reforwarded my earlier message regarding the chat. I do believe you have to " join " to access the chat, but I promise that it is painless, free and easy. I am not certain whether certain software is required to participate in the chat, but if you e-mail the folks at WebMD, I'm sure they'll be happy to tell you.
