Guest guest
Just a note to update you on the progress of our Regional Trauma Software: We are in the process of downloading from two of our EMS services this week and from two hospitals. We plan a download to TDH next week and should be ready to accept from all of our units at that time. If you are interested in the software and your EMS or hospitals are using anything besides TEXEMS, SweetSoft or CDC software then please let us know the name of these softwares to enable our programmers to begin working to make the program adjustments to ensure that data will be accepted. One thing that we encountered was the essential fields on EMS and Hospital reporting were not required for TDH reporting. Our Medical Advisory Board and Executive Board felt that essential fields were just that...essential. We have made them required for submission (this can be modified by each pruchaser). If the software rejects an incomplete report it will also advise you which # report and what information needs to be completed for acceptance. The program will also give a confirmation of how many reports were successfully received from the service or hospital. Another plus is that there is a simplified EMS reporting program built in to enable you or a small service to input their data into the system from your terminal. It is Windows based with tabs, pull down menus and click on buttons to simplify the entry. We will notify you soonest as to when it will be available for you to visit and see it in operation as several of you had expressed an interest in seeing it in action. Hope this fills in some of the blanks...will be back to you within a couple of weeks.
