Guest guest
I think a step in any direction is a good one if you aren't feeling well. If you do well at home, it will mean your home is a healthy place for you, and your work place may be unhealthy for you. If you don't do well, maybe it's your house. Most people spend most of their time indoors so it's unlikely to be staying out of the 'outdoors', just that time you are in transit from one place to another, unless your job puts you outdoors alot. Hope you feel better. --- In , " Duh... " <carrie_j00@...> wrote: > > It has been a while since I have posted. I was diagnosed with SBS > two years ago this month. Guest guest
I have been out of our moldy house for three years this month. The mold exposure caused me to develop severe allergies to mold, dust and all pollens. March is tree and field mold season. Since my mold exposure I am extremely allergic to tree pollen and this time of year if awful. Fall is ragweed. Various other pollens come out in the summer months. The environmental doctor who treats me says there are three health issues from mold exposure--allergy, toxins and fungal infections. He said the exposure " hammered " my immune system. Allergy can cause a host of symptoms that not everyone associates with it including fatigue, sinus problems, brain fog and more. Your seasonal symptoms do sound like allergy to me--they're just like mine. The treatment that works well for me was that offered by an environmental doctor. It involves lots of shots, but they keep me functional and off of inhalers and other medications (which is good because none of them ever worked well for me). I also have a hepa filter in my home and car. You might want to look into treatment by an environmental physician. They have a web site at: http://www.aaem.com/ where you can search for one. --- In , " Duh... " <carrie_j00@...> wrote: .. . . I am usually sick every single month (for a week or two) with the usual; sinus, loss of voice, headache, fatigue etc. Sometimes I'm fortunate enough to skip a month here and there. Springtime is hell and Fall is a very close second. This is the third March in a row that I have been just blasted with a super dose of illness. This mega-illness lays me out. . . . Guest guest
You need to get another doctor, . Keep trying doctors until you find one that works FOR you instead of against you. Take notes of your symptoms and type them up in checklist format and then when you go to the doctor stay with each symptom until you get some kind of action on each one. Don't let them hurry you out the door. Give them a copy of the list each time with a status report on whats been addressed and what has not. I'm wondering, is there a website where people can post their experiences with doctors? Rate them, sort of like people have websites to rate other services?
