Guest guest
If you got inflammed bowels it could cause constipation. a live mold colonating in there might cause this. myco's may cause the opposite effect.no telling what your getting in that dust. can't they use a sprayer to wet things down a bit to cut the dust? > > Today was the scariest day of my entire life. Guest guest
Yes it can cause constipation!! That's just on of many symptoms. Just prepare yourself for the strange feelings and symptoms yet to come. It's not fun; believe me I know first hand. I've been extremely ill for the past five years. Guest guest
Also everybody feel free to communicate with me via email: arealis@... . I could use some help, advice, anything. Also maybe my GP doctor will not roll her eyes if I show her that there are people out there with proven relationship between mold exposure and symptoms very similar to mine. > > Yes it can cause constipation!! Guest guest
Regarding the constipation oat meal helps me so much with that problem and I take flax seed oil capsules. Flaxseed is good for alot. I am not sure if I have trouble with grains but oatmeal has helped me. > > Today was the scariest day of my entire life. Guest guest
Branislav, have your doctor give you a prescription for Sorbital (sp) it's a laxative and seems to work better than all the others, I don't know why. This is also the same medication that Dr.Shoemaker prescribes. As much as many don't like to discuss it many do experience the constipation, so it might be a good idea to get an enema bag to help keep yourself flushed. I'm sure your GI tract and other levels to help your digestion are all messed up like many who have been exposed to mold. They have linked this to Crohns disease, IBS, so it does make sense. Guest guest
Mold toxins can cause constipation in the form of a toxin-driven intestinal obstruction (paralytic ileus) I learned that today...
Guest guest
Does this also cause dieerhia? I often have inflamation in that area, I rarely get constipated, thank goodness. dieerhia for years has left me with a lack of muscles in that area. my bowels can get pretty inflammed sometimes and it seems to make the constipation come on or is caused by it. but it also gets inflammed with dieerhia. I used to be normal like clockwork. what is all this inflamation or fever in that area? it doesn't seem to be exactly like IBS. I haven't really researched this much. > > Mold toxins can cause constipation in the form of a toxin-driven intestinal > obstruction (paralytic ileus) > > I learned that today... > > >
Guest guest
You need to ask a doctor, but yes, I know for a fact that it can also cause diarrhea in the lower bowel.. I've gotten that too. Thats one of the better known effects of some mold exposures. I was talking about a paralysis of the peristalsis or whatever it is called.. they are two different thngs, both bad.. I wouldn't be surprised (but don't know this as fact that) both could be caused by the body trying to minimize the absorbtion of the mycotoxins in different ways... Guest guest
Thanks KC, Barb and everyone who gave me tips about this. I hope I won't have to deal with such severe constipation ever again. My GP told me to eat bran and drink a lot of water. However, the constipation is gone since Monday (thank God), and my bowel movements are almost normal, although I can feel my whole body is still under pressure probably trying to figure out how to best deal with this new toxin. Perhaps I worsened things last week by taking a lot of a painkiller that contains codeine (which is known to cause constipation). On the other hand I took that painkiller many times before and didn't have anything remotely severe as this, so it must have been related or compounded by mold. -Branislav > > > > Today was the scariest day of my entire life. Guest guest
My " constipation " is caused by my spinal cord demyelination......secondary to toxic mold building syndrome. It bites......BIG time. I have to use prune juice or a laxative, at least once a week, & then I have NO bowel control whatsoever.....so I spend the entire day at home. NOTHING works below my waist. :>( V. Re: [] Re: Can mold cause constipation? Guest guest
I can only add my two cents(experience); since I'm dealing with probable Lyme, Morgellons & Mold; I'm kind of guessing my way through alot of things, but I do notice, when away from home & condo, my bowels seem to get back on track. When here, about every 3-4 weeks. my legs swell, then get constipated, confused then resort to laxatives. Just my experience.. Guest guest
I don't think mold is an actual direct cause for a lot of the problems we have...what I do believe is that mold lowers our immune system to such a horrible low degree that our bodies go out of wack and when our body is out of wack, we are going to have problems. So this being said, we can blame mold for most of our problems. I have a host of issues which I believe are caused by my low immune system which was caused by the mold. Guest guest
thanks, val.....but i've tried it all. i'd prefer to stay somewhat constipated, cause of my total lack of control. v. Guest guest
I don't know. I was tested over a year ago but I can't remember. I know I am way off because I am so sick right now. I am going to a different doctor in a couple of weeks so I may know more by then. One thing, we are getting a new roof because this one started leaking. The past 2 days that the roofers have been working on the roof, I have been terribly ill. I am thinking it is stirring up a lot of crap! > I don't think mold is an actual direct cause for a lot of the problems > we have...what I do believe is that mold lowers our immune system to > such a horrible low degree that our bodies go out of wack and when our > body is out of wack, we are going to have problems.
