No, 3 grams a day is what I had read was a realistic dose for pain and that

is what i have been taking.. and it helps.

I have taken it off and on for a long time, not for pain, just as a

supplement - and also much less.. less than 500 mg/day.

But the pain I had this week was very bad and I was desperate to find

anything that would address it.
