Hi-

Do you mean a humidistat? (not a thermostat?) because you can buy a humidistat

at Walmart to check the humididty - (or from many other places- you can froogle

it)

Hi Val, dehumidifier. You must live in a dry state. It takes

moisture out of the air by cooling it as a refrigerator does below the

dewpoint of the air, causing the air to drop it's water and become

dry. It has a collection bucket you need to empty or if it is in a

basement where there is a drain, you can run a drain hose to drain

itself.
