Hi - I, too am a bed warrior...and had to relearn how to live...it was tough on

my kids.

I allow myself ONE outing a day. Every other day. And I organize my life

around that one trip out. And only every other day, if that was possible. It is

tough for kids to see their mom in this way. I did make the time productive by

going to law school. This is different from years ago because most of the

research is online and I went to school on alternate days and stayed in bed the

next.

Early on I was sleeping twice a day. It was horrendous to try to get my son

to school and be back asleep before 9 a.m. drooling on my lawbooks...I would get

up about 11 and read until I would fall asleep at 2 p.m. It took everything in

me to get up and take 1000mg of Tylenol to stop the chills to get into the

shower to get ready for school. But, I took evening classes and felt better

after my 2nd nap and strangely felt better at night. It saved my sanity. And

kept me going forward.

One of my doctors told me that if I had any energy to try to take a walk,

rather than go up and down stairs to do laundry. I did put a 2nd washer and

dryer in my house so that my precious energy was not wasted. I would see people

out jogging and be so jealous of their energy. I had been a distance swimmer

and runner. The weight gain from inactivity was hard to deal with. However, I

did not have cancer as many in my school. I am lucky.

At about the 4th year mark, I did not need the 2nd nap. My primary care

doctor told me that the body has remarkable restorative powers, if you rest and

allow your body the time it needs to recover. When I get an infection, it

feels like a relapse, whereby everything falls apart again.

I don't fight it. I just go to bed and do as much work from there as I can.

We are lucky to live in an age where we can work and network online and continue

to be productive, and for that I am grateful. I have found that when I travel, I

usually do it alone. It is easier than having to explain myself constantly

about my need for rest, when my body tells me, and not inconvenience someone

else. It is 5 years since my last exposure. God has been good to me, in that I

don't have cancer and, in meeting others in the same situation, I know, contrary

to what the 'powers that be' would like us all to think, that it is 'not in my

head.' It also helped that I had my lungs washed and biopsied, to get a real

diagnosis rather than be strung along by a string of doctors, whose hands are

tied, by the insurance companies from grappling with this menace.

The exhaustion and muscle pain were really intense for the first couple of

years. The muscle pain has improved. Early on, when around 2000, I read on a

link on themoldsource.com that the 5 year mark was significant and that it takes

at least that long to get rid of some of the toxins.

I did the cholestyramine but was choking on it after a couple of months...I

substituted OTC cholesterol stuff and that may be helping me get rid of some

toxins. The vertigo is still there and I cannot stand up for a long time

without leaning on a wall or post. I also have constant thirst and drink at

least a half gallon of water a day...it may be the way the body tells us to get

rid of these toxins. Rest and water...at least there is a network for us all to

vent...

Hi , I know how you feel; I spend most of my days in bed, too

tired to do anything. I do have to say though, I have found a product

that helps w/the fatigue(I ran out & boy can I tell!). Check out

CoQ10, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Acetyl L-Carnitine product @ Vitacost.com

Read the description: antioxident, enhanced energy production &

cognitive function!! If you try it, hope it works for you! Wishing

you better days ahead!

Hugs, Cheryl
