Got a call from the Retirement System today

It took over a week and me filling out a survey saying bad customer

service but I got a call saying I'm on payroll and should get 3

checks deposited March 25. I hope I was told correct. Oddly those

missing papers showed up mysteriously that none were there on Monday

that was sent Feb. 20 and should have arrived there next day.

Bad part is I was quoted wrong amount that was $500 more and what I

will be getting is $600 less than what my net pay was. Now I have

got to figure out how I will survive and pay bills on that when what

my net pay was before with $600 more was a struggle. I'm still

working on the house payment being lower due to about a 50% decrease

in gross pay. I don't spend as much on gas but still I'm going to

come up short.

I have 8 animals to feed and take care of and that takes money. Will

be interested to see how much the house payment will decrease and how

long it will take them to let me know. So far they moratorium isn't

even approved yet so that did't help while waiting for paycheck. I

had to pay two full house payments and the little stash of money I

had is gone.

Was told if I had worked 5 years for the state before 1982 due to the

lawsuit that was won for people to choose retirement disability, that

it would have been calculated up to age 65 and I think that is what I

got quoted with $500 more. Darn, that would have been a lot closer

to what I was getting while working. I'm actually getting about what

I would have got in my normal retirement check with 30years of

service. HR guy said I could get a part time job as long as I don't

make over what I'm getting in my retirement disability check if he

was correct about that. Right now I'm not thinking about working

period. I need to get better.
