Guest guest
How long did you have to wait to get a hearing and what State do you live in if you don't mind me asking. I have been waiting one year now since I requested a hearing and I'm told by my lawyer it could be another year of waiting to get a date set. Subject: Social Security To: Hugs-N-Pain Date: Thursday, December 11, 2008, 11:22 PM I got my letter for my hearing date in Feb. how long does it takes once you go to the hearing and your accepted to the actually money coming in. I am buried to my ears in Dr. bills. and faster the better would be nice for me. thanks for our answer. Jena
Guest guest
Oh wow. I had a total of 2 years starting with the filing. I had to see the judge and then after that it took about 6 months to get the letter. " The Letter " ....I remember that day....gads!!! I was shaking when trying to open it. First words I saw were " Fully Favorable " . Almost passed out. It seems two years total is average time from start to finish unless you are so obviously disabled in front of the judge. My sister in law was really bad and the judge took care of her right then and there she said. It's a really hard wait. I hope you get it sooner but that's how it went with me. I think from the time of filing to a hearing was about 18 months or so then 6 months to get the letter. It's hard to remember the details in time. Seems a lifetime ago. Anyway..it was two years total until that letter came. A big fat sucker. Guest guest
I hired a lawyer once I was turned down. He is one of those supposing no loose lawyers. seeing how he doesn't get paid if I don't win. I truly hopes it works out pretty fast. I do not like being totally dependent on my husband. even when I drove a school bus I didn't make much but at least it was something.
