Guest guest
In the congressional hearings today regarding the problems taking place at the Walter Medical Center, Rep. Betty McCollum addressed Maj. Gen. Weightman the [former] Commander of Walter from 2006-07 who was relieved of service (and does appear to have been scapegoated). Rep. McCollum asked the general about the mold that was found at the Medical Center. The mold was referred to as " mildew " by Gen. Weightman who relayed mold was found in 9 rooms and those areas were cleaned. He relayed that where there was " mildew " on the walls, the wallpaper was removed and that " micro-cide " was applied and then the walls were painted. When asked if there was any mold testing performed, Gen. Weightman stammered and responded that he did not know. Gen. Weightman stated that the problem was basically a " moisture problem " and until the roof is replaced that the mold will likely return. And this is with the entire world watching...I have no words except to applaud Rep. Betty McCollum for asking these questions. Thank goodness for the presence of Sharon Kramer in Washington who will provide the words.

**************************************
AOL now offers free email to everyone.
