Starr,

Start that behavior/diet diary today, without fail. I've kept one for 3

years - mine has one week on a page, and I print out a month at a time of

it on my PC. I put the old months in a binder so I can look back. Some

days and weeks you won't write much, but make sure you write any time you

change ANYTHING in his supplements, any unusual foods or symptoms. And

don't change anything more often than every 3 days. Any new supplement or

change of dosage has some chance of showing you if it's causing a reaction

(bad or good) this way. Some things work slower than this (fatty acids are

the one that comes to mind). We do Brainchild (very happy customers for

over 2 years) and fatty acids and probiotics. Just shoot any specific

questions my way about these things. You'll find way more info on this

list than I know about enzymes, though - I'm still just dabbling with them

- we had actually stopped them in December when my guy had a big behavior

slide, thinking they might be part of the problem, and now have figured out

he actually had yeast and 2 kinds of gut bacteria, which we're still

treating, so I'm planning to start them up again soon.

If I were yu, I would take him to both. Just to make sure he gets the check up

from both.

I have a 5 1/2 old with severe apraxia. I wish I would have done every possible

test for her when she was smaller so that we could have catch this earlier.

Hello all. I live in Warren County, NJ (by NE PA). I'm confused. My son is 2

yrs 9 months and we're looking going to a developmental pediatrician on March

11th. At first I made an appt with a pediatric neurologist who I thought we

could go to for developmental delays. I'M SO CONFUSED. Yesterday, I took

to an ENT & he had another audiological exam, which turned out to be

normal this time. He wants to see him in another 6 weeks just to make sure that

there isn't fluid in his ears again.

my question is this...should I take him to see a development ped or a ped

neurologist???

Thanks.

That was going to be my suggestion, too. Especially from an

insurance standpoint. Technically, dev peds are not specialists (ie

there is not code for them) BUT neuros ARE and I just find that the

more evidence you have, the better off you are with the insurance

cos. Plus, from a personal standpoint, if it is impacting more than

speech and you need OT, PT, etc., it's important to get a complete

picture of a child both physically and developmentally.

Good luck - Marina

What molds are mostly found in buildings in Florida. I am going to be

tested for molds and need the names of these molds here. I got real

sick at work and now they are denying me treatment. I can hardly breath

and get real dizzy. No meds seem to work. Anyone else in south Florida

having the same problem?

I lived in S. Florida for several years and I was actually healthier

there. The mold is worse there due to the moisture in the air. We

never had a mold problem in our homes we lived in. We always kept

fresh air coming in through cracking our windows as well as used the AC

to dry the indoor air out. I don't know what kid of molds grow down

there but I would assume most would be the same as they are here. You

can most likely call your county agency or health dept and find out.

Land is great to have!

Don't feel bad, I am the black sheep of my family as well!! I have

grown to like it!

A-Men Jackie A-men I Love it but can get my hands on some of the Land they can't

take that away I just never had any help in that area that's why I wouldn't let

my brother pass it on to me. but it's in safe hands any one wants to get busy

building safe housing for those of us so in need we can come up with some ideas.

to me there's nothing worse than a failure then a failure to try.

let's help ourselves then start helping many others.

DITTO ELVIRA! dont let anything change who you are. keep wearing that

shirt and fighting. I too have become the black sheep of the family

through the years of this misunderstood illness and thanks to many

misdiagnoses along the way witch has been very hard to try to explain

to family. I've also realized that you dont need doctors who treat

you that way and if they act like that, they won't help you anyway.

who needs more misdiagnoses. it's not right and not fair but stay

deturmined and someday, hopefully soon, we will be heard loud and

clear.

You go girl!!

Don't feel you need an education to be your best. Even though I

finished high school and have some college, I could never finish it

all because I just can't learn as well as others. I have 5 sisters

with college degrees who make good money but I could never measure up

to their standards because I don't have what it took in their eyes.

Back in my time, a person like me was considered dumb, stupid or

lazy. Now there are medical terms for learning problems such as I

have. I even have a problem with my hearing that causes me to hear

words different than others so I often cannot pronunce or spell

correctly at times. Heck, I went through both barber and cosmetology

school and I still had a hard time learning that!!! I was OK with

the hands on and creative part but having to learn all of the terms

when we were studying chemistry and skin and scalp diesease, I was

just plain dumb dumb dumb! I worked hard and passed well but I had

to really study. Must people did not even study.

Now that I am older, I am 50, I have learned I have something my

educated sisters don't have. I know what it is like to be different.

I have wisdom about life a person with a professional degree will

never have.

Eviria, you are so full of wisdom that is not gained by an education.

Many of doctors and professionals don't have the wisdom you have.

True wisdom comes from something far greater than books and

education. You have it Elviria! You do what you feel is best for you!

Heck with what the world thinks! Keep up the good work and caring for

others. YOu are priceless!

Jackie,

Thank You so much many forester kids many lost every one that loved and cared

for them, left to fine for themselves I just pray that one day I can write a

book on trials and tribulations. some are single family my illness and all the

stress of the Mold over and over and not being able to get away from it. I've

lot's every thing under HUD and come very close many times loosing my life

Homeless ill and trying to get my life back on track it's not easy. nights or

worse with the smelling of mold for me and the Chronic pain and the fear of

seeing doctors because of what happen living in HUD housing.

the games they play with others lives get rich quick off the poor and this is

Government workers Judges Landlords Attorneys where do we turn? I can go on but

I'm not feeling well it seem hard to get ride of the gastro viral infection, and

after the doctor wouldn't see me I have to fine another one. I had a test done

and that doctor see something on my womb so he's sending me to get another test

to make sure of what he see. he want me to wait a month to take the test again

he's a baby doctor then the chronic pain and knowing there's a way not to suffer

so much. I just can't fine it but keep trying the took away my Voucher so I do

what I have to and keep hope alive. all I hear is mold is every where not true

if people took care of their property " Who " is one of a kind most people learn

there homes are making them ill get out and rent the place to others?

we know how that goes HUD is the best place for them to use because Landlords

know they can and will get away with it and this is why many want deal with HUD.

I now understand hold heartly thank you all again for understanding.

Are we all the " black-sheep " of the family? It seems that way or we

become the " black-sheep " because of the illness, perhaps? Beacause I

am the " black-sheep " of my family, too! It's hard for my family to

understand just how sick I am and how bad I feel... Reading the

the only one going through something like this. To Elvira and

Dana,

Yes KC and Sharon gave us all a great gift and Who and many others has been

jewels as well like food when we are so hungry light where theirs nothing but

darkness. Life again and new family that truly understand and show us a way

where most of us couldn't see or feel warmth or worth.

Doves Fly We are Family here we must all ask ourselves do we want our children

and theirs to face what we are faced with.

Dana You are Welcome.
