Guest guest
This morning my DH left after Sully got on the bus. It was very hard. The kids don't really understand why Daddy had to go to the Army or how very long a year can be. I will tell you all this... I can never take my husband or my relationship with my husband for granted again. Sure the man irriattes me from time to time and I am sure he will again! But the thing of it is this experience has shown me how truly petty married people can be to each other. You really don't know how much you rely on each other and how much you do for each other until you have to kiss goodbye. I believe, that though I am incredibly depressed and overwhelmed right now, that when he comes home in a year the strong marriage that we have will be stronger. It will take adjusting to each other again but I think we will have a greater respect for each other. Please folks, appreciate what you have, I reallize that some marriages are just bad and unhealthy for the couple involved. But for those of you who have a generally good, happy marriages, When you go to bed tonight, tell your husband (wife) how much you really love him (her) and how much you really appreciate him (her). I won't get a chance to do that tonight. Be glad you can. CHRIS
Guest guest
Stength and love to you, Chris. I lived for years with my dh away for periods of 8 months, so if you ever need an ear with some idea of what you're dealing with, I'll be glad to listen!
