That's a good opening for a response such as... " No..I'm not an MD but I am the

patient and I have a better sense of what's going on with me then you do...and

being an MD doesn't mean you know all about pain. It is it's own specialty.

Too many don't want to deal with it and so go around effective treatment and I'm

trying to figure out where you are coming from. "

.....now I'm not sure if I'd have the guts to say that...it would depend on

what's going on at the time but if I had nothing to lose with a doctor...heaven

knows how much trouble I'm gonna let my mouth get me into.

I've seen some doctors who should NEVER call themselves MD's and I have a story

or two about that. They have the license because they passed a states

board...but do they have the heart to be an MD? In the case of pain...who's

butt is the doctor trying to save...his own imagined problems with DEA people or

his patient?

Saying stupid stuff like " Who's the MD? " raises a red flag with me. It's

intimidating. When someone tries to intimidate with his so called position in

life...then I have serious doubts.

I've nursed many an intern on his or her way to being a real doctor...and they

are human...some are impossible and some have the " Heart " . Some are above it

all and some really do try to feel what the patient does. There are a lot of in

betweens...but being an MD does not give anyone the right to stand above it all

and use it as a club.
