? about dealing with pain and doctors?

I finally could not handle my pain any longer and at end of July

called for appt. to see my new Orthopedic doctor, had to wait 4 weeks

to see him.

Saw him on 9-3, he told me it was too soon after having my fusion in

May 07, he wouldn't consider surgery so soon. Told me he'd talk to

Pain Management doctor and get me an appt.

Finally saw the Pain Management doctor on 10-1, he put me on

Gabapentin (generic for Neurontin). He planned 3 steps tp do to help

me. Step One was bilateral branch blocks on my cervical area. He did

them on 10-15. On 10-17 he told they didn't work for me and he can no

longer do step two that he'd planned. Also that he could not do step

three on me, has to have the leads surgically put in me for SCS. Also,

he was turning my case back over to my Orthopedic and Nuerosurgeon to

discuss.

So finally on 10-18, I get call from Neurosurgeon's office, he has

ordered C-Spine CT Scans, they were done on 10-29. Said I'd get the

results from him on 10-31.

On 10-31, his office calls me and says I need a follow-up appt to see

my Neurosurgeon, but he can't see me until 12-4. Can you believe that!

I have to stay in pain another month!

Doctors are so insensitive! So here I am, in pain and having migraines

almost daily!
