Guest guest
I'd ask your lawyer what they think on that part. I'm thinking on one hand it might not matter since it is in your medical file which is why your doc is sending you to this specilist. On the other hand if they were able to find something, the specilist, then it makes for a stronger case, though if they don't then.... I suspect on this one there really isn't a right/wrong answer but since it's clearly a bother having to write things down else it be forgotten if you can get in earlier it migt make you feel better regardless. Since I don't know how these things go, hearings, but are you allowed witnesses to testify to this fact for you? lyn > > Hi all, > > I just received word from my disability attorney that I have a date > (finally) for my disability hearing. Guest guest
Here's a big hope of holler for your hearing. I remember mine...two years seems to be the magic number. My judge was a grump but I won. By any chance do you have Fibromyalgia? I remember my first memory glitch. I thought I was getting one of those bad brain goodies. You can be in mid sentence and the word drops out of your head. Comes back later. I was new in disability and thought... " Wow...if I don't use it I loose it. " type of thing. I tried learning something new to get the juices going...I learned to write freehand HTML. It was later I learned of the famous " Fibro Fog " and that I do have fibromyalgia. People with fibro have this a lot. The bad news is I still have fibro fog. The good news...I can write my own web pages. You get to learn how to deal with this with a reasonable sense of humor because it is pretty much there to stay. My doctor and I discussed it and he and others feel it may be due to the mess up with stage 4 sleep people with fibro have. That's why they use stuff like Elavil and other antidepressant type drugs to help with stage 4 sleep and hope to reduce the " fog " and get some sleep without busting awake every 10 minutes. People that know me know of the fog and if I get the brain farts I just say " Fog " ...they know. http://www.geocities.com/cfsdays/follies.htm See if you fit here. We have to treat it with humor. I hope it's all that you have going. It's pretty scary when you don't know. Guest guest
Discuss the issue with your attorney. Disability decision is based partly on the number of different functional disabilities—so it helps to have a variety. On the other hand, their investigating another area of functional difficulty could further delay their decision. Good luck!!! (And remember when proving disability, you have to look at things in the worst possible way. Keep that view of your life as separate as possible from the way you actually feel about yourself and your future.)
