Thanks Jackie. IQ Air seems to have good ratings, but I am still

looking and evaluating too. They all seem to be pretty expensive.

thanks,

Beth

I gotta jump in here and disagree. Use HEPA filters if you can tolerate

them but make sure first.

Some of us react to the glues and materials in hepa filters. The air

cleaners that I have used were filled with charcoal or a

zeolite/charcoal mix and were primarily for VOCs. They came with hepa

filters installed, the VOC canisters were an option.

Jackie & Beth,

I know had done alot intense research on air purifiers for

herself and her children. I really checked out this one that she

recommended and I'm beginning to like it the more I read. Their

warrantee, the price of replacement filters, their specs on how it

works and it's capabilities. No, I don't have any financial

interests and I do not benefit in any way. But I am seriously

considering this system.

Ask them for a sample of the charcoal/pottasium mix to make sure you

don't have any problems with it. There's different sources of charcoal

too so it's worthwhile testing before you spend your $$.

I think that's another good make.

Good to see this Austin Air has 15lbs of carbon in addition to HEPA.

This should take care of the VOC element of mold mycotoxins.

From experience, I'd definitely say that HEPA alone won't do it.

AllerAir also has several models with this much or more carbon. I'd

definitely recommend these over straight HEPA machines.

Been working alot sorry I have not been real active. This is my busy season.

However, YES YES. I love this one. Still saving for it, but hope to have it

with in the next couple of weeks. Have not heard anything bad about it. A

couple on use them too. We have a water store here locally that

has it working there. They run theirs 24/7 and have had it 4 years. Still

works great.
