Guest guest
I have been concerened that if the chealation brings the mercury out via the stool and she has stool backed up in her colon is the mercury possibly redistributing? Jane ************* the longer that the mercury remains in the intestines the more time to be reabsorbed. Have you tried more magnesium, and epsum salt baths? Guest guest
Bernie, No, I haven't but if this will help I certainly will! I do give her 100 mg. of magnesium glycinate every evening. Thanks, Jane

Although I was constipated before starting the enzymes, I now am more so. In my case, I think it can be a detox issue. Perhaps as more toxins are excreted, more inflammation, and more constipation. n
Guest guest
Just some additional info: When starting enzymes, there is usually an initial period of more frequent bowel movements, then a period where fewer bowel movements occur. What sometimes occurs, and it happens for me, is that as the enzymes break food down more thoroughly, there is less waste in the gut, and less fecal matter is passed. Sometimes this can be construed as constipation. It also may take a few days for the gut to " fill up " with enough waste to have a movement. Guest guest
We did but it went away after we added the HNZyme product. Seemed like other things were the culprit after we started the Pep... Lynn
Guest guest
I will toss out the wonderfull Culturelle, and magnesium. I take magesium as Natural Calm which you can get in the health food store. It is mag citrate, a very absorbable form. There are other brands as well, but mag is very helpful in relieving constipation (actually causes diarrhea at higher doses). .
Guest guest
n, that is a very interesting article you found. My son also belongs to high-acid group. Now I undestand why he reacted so badly to vit C. In my experience, whole brown rice or ground flax seeds works the best for constipation. Hope I'll find it helpful. Guest guest
I definitely am not educated re: constipation, and need to learn a lot more re: the digestive system, but what about good old epsom salts taken orally in warm water (see instructions on the container)? I know they're not for long term use, but what about for occasional use (I think the box has the number of consecutive days its safe to use...) I know people are looking for more of a consistent, long term answer, but I hate to think of anyone pushing for days!!! , mom to and Re: [ ] constipation/ZymePrime? Hi, My son, who's battled constipation off and on for the past year and a half, had been doing well in that department until I started him on ZymePrime about two weeks ago. At first, his stool was very soft, and I was thrilled, thinking this was a great " cure " for constipation. Now, he's becoming constipated again after two weeks on ZP. I know I've read that since more food is digested, there is less to pass out, but I don't think this is the issue here. My son has been trying to push for the past few days (almost all day long, poor thing), and nothing much bigger than raisin-sized poop is coming out. Yesterday, I stopped the ZP and today he had more success. Has anyone had this problem? Is this something that would be eventually resolved if I stayed on ZP? I'm kind of afraid to start it back again. He was only taking about a total of one capsule per day, maybe slightly more. And yes, he's on flax seed, magnesium, vit C, with no apparant results. We don't do prunes and many fruits because of phenol stuff. Thanks for any advice, Debbie

Lots and lots of fat, such as butter, apparently helps many people, and for stubborn constipation, the SCD remedy is a little prune juice. -
Guest guest
well, I bragged to soon on mine not getting to bad. my hopes of bring fairly normal ever again are crushed. was thinking I was doing good to have relief with getting some control over the sore stomach and dierahia. for the past six months things were looking better, but now it seems to be going in the oppisite extreme. boo, I'm so sick of dealing with all this crap. no pun intended I read that a water fast is the best treatment. Guest guest
Several things that I have found helps are digestive enzyme/betaine hcl tablets, carnosine, metamucil wafers, and fish oil.. n-acetyl-cysteine also helps reduce inflammation, clearly.. > . > > >
Guest guest
, I just had a gastric bypass and one of the problems is getting enough fruits and veggies. As a result, constipation is an issue for many who had this procedure. My doc recommends a product called Juice Plus that contains 17 fruits and vegetables in a gummy form. Tastes great and is like chewing a gummy candy. I became a distributor of this only to save myself money on the cost. If you want I can send you a sample to try. Email or call me privately.
