Guest guest
HI Everyone! I have a question about voiding/bowel issues... My 2.5 year old?daughter has 2 syrinx - the larger one is L6-S2 and is 7mm at it's greatest diameter.(as of Aug 07) There are mixed reviews as to if she actually has a tethered spinal cord, fatty filum or filum terminale... She has 2 lower back birthmarks - She wont have another MRI until Aug. We are starting to experience something strange with her and all my mommy alarms are going off. She is still in a diaper and last night she cried for me to change her diaper several different times - and she was not wet or muddy.? Then, she woke up dry and we had to " change " her diaper several more times before 10am (even though she was still wearing a clean diaper)? Then she had a HUGE blow out at around 10:30am - I am not sure if she voided then or not.? We took her to the dr at 3:30pm who cathed her to see if she had an urinary infection and hardley anything came out. The dr said if alot came out then they would have MRIed her to see if anything was going on. They sent us home and said to come back if she didn't void in 6 hours.? She keeps crying and saying " my diaper hurts " (meaning that area) But the dr checked and there is no rash or anything that would cause it. My question is - What kind of expereices did you or your children all have when you 1st started to experience bladder or bowel disfunction?? She is so young, it's hard for her to comunicate... Does any of this sound like something I should be concerned with neurogenicley or does it sound like it's just a girl with gastrointeritis? Any insight anyone has would be great!!! ?Jen and Luli - 28 months Left tort - Right Plagio - Hanger Band Grad - CA http://www.babiesonline.com/babies/j/jens5th/
