---I would definately do three things. One, I would call the pharmacy

and let them know you were short. They probably will give you attitude

since it is a methadone script but you need to report it. Second, talk

to your friend and mention that the pharmacy shorted you 13 pills and

see what they say and how they react. You probably arent going to get

the pills owed to you but pharmacies have to fill out discrepancy

paperwork if someone is shorted. And I'll bet your friend, if they took

them, has already taken them.Third, call your dr. and tell them you

were shorted so when you call for an early refill they will know the

situation and give you your script.

Im so sorry this happend to you. We always have to be on alert when

get a script filled and someone is with us. It's sad, but people do

take advantage of us.

Is there a possibility that the person you were with could have taken

them also? I know that is such a bad thought but now a days you never

know. I am sorry that this is happening to you and i know how you

feel. I go to brooks/rite aid, dont know if you have one of those,

and they will refuse to fill precriptions written by my doctor for

their reasons. Even with a presc and my insurance paying they will

tell me its too soon or short me on pills on purpose, but they'll

tell me though. They'll say that i exceeded my limit for the month

that they allow, and its at their discretion, which i think is bull

shit, sorry to offend anyone. But i think if my doctor is writting my

precription a day early cause thats the only time i could go, and it

takes 24 hrs to fill the script, i should not be treated like a drug

seaking addict by a pharmist who can control me. I dont think that is

fair at all. My doctor has told me to have them call him if there is

a problem, but they said no, they will report him if he continues.

Time to switch pharmacies huh?? I know how you feel.
